Until now, the home security industry was not known for developing either breakthrough technology or creative advertising campaigns. To create and produce a humorous campaign that is innovative in its approach to marketing home security, advertising creative veteran and currently CMO of InGrid Home Security, Fred Siegel, teamed with Jerry Zucker’s National Banana. The campaign was written and directed by Jerry Zucker, and produced by a fresh comedy community on the Web, National Banana. The multiplatform ad campaign features InGrid’s revolutionary digital and wireless design to deliver superior security, reliability and connectivity, and is targeted at consumers who view existing home security solutions as antiquated and inadequate.
Some of the most hilarious moments ever captured on film were created by Zucker (AIRPLANE!, NAKED GUN); and with National Banana, he’s developing a library of online comedy videos as well as venturing into advertising. The InGrid campaign shows how traditional home security is a thing of the past, as National Banana pushes satire to the edge.
A new, all-digital way to manage their home security – through a cordless telephone, cell phone or Web browser is offered by InGrid to the consumers. Being lower in cost than traditional home security solutions, the system is easy to install by consumers.
“Be Safe. Be Secure. Be Connected.” is InGrid’s message to consumers. Through InGrid partner RCN, one of the largest facilities-based competitive providers of bundled cable, high-speed internet and phone services delivered over its own fiber-optic local network will appear the first video. RCN provides service in the Chicago, Boston, New York, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. metropolitan markets.
